New Pentair Sand Filter and Motor Installation Done Right

When a filter is worn out and the motor is done, your pool stops working the way it should. The water gets cloudy, circulation drops off, and no amount of chemicals fixes what is really a mechanical problem. That was the situation here - a tired setup that needed to go.

We pulled the old equipment and came in with a Pentair TR100 sand filter paired with a Pentair single-speed motor. These are solid, proven pieces of equipment. The TR100 is a workhorse - easy to backwash, straightforward to maintain, and built to handle the kind of heat and demand that pools in this climate deal with all summer long.

The plumbing side of this job was just as important as the equipment itself. We ran all new PVC, tied in the valves cleanly, and made sure every connection was done properly before the system went live. Good pool plumbing is what keeps a new equipment installation from becoming a headache down the road. Sloppy connections and shortcuts catch up with you fast.

Once everything was buttoned up, the system came on strong. Proper circulation means the filter can actually do its job - keeping the water clear, moving chemicals evenly through the pool, and reducing the wear on everything else in the system. It is one of those upgrades that you feel immediately.

A burnt-out motor or a failing filter is not something worth patching. When the equipment is done, replacing it with quality gear and doing the plumbing right is what gets a pool back on track and keeps it there.
